Zone Diet Hypnosis

The Zone Diet And How It Works

The Zone diet is a diet plan that monitors calorie intake and physical activity to achieve weight loss. It is a lifestyle diet plan to help people shed pounds and get in better shape. The key aspect of this diet program is the set of eating guidelines developed by the biochemist named Barry Sears.

The reasoning of the diet looks at the influence of carbohydrates on the body's insulin levels. Eating too many carbohydrates causes the body's blood sugar levels to rise sharply, which causes the body to produce insulin, a hormone that lowers blood sugar levels by causing the sugar to be stored as fat. It is thought that by consuming the right foods, blood sugar levels can be regulated to keep insulin levels in "the zone," a range where the body burns more fat and stops storing excessive fat.

The plan balances carbohydrate and protein consumption in a 3:4 ratio, meaning 30% of your calories will come from protein and 40% from carbohydrates (another 30% typically comes from fat). It is important to keep track of calories on this diet, with most meals under five hundred calories each and snacks being no more than one hundred calories each.

Under the plan, you eat five times each day (three meals and two snacks), never letting more than five hours pass without having a snack or meal. If you sleep eight hours each night, this means taking breakfast within one hour of getting out of bed, lunch within five hours after breakfast, a snack within five hours after your lunch, dinner within two to three hours of snack, and another snack just before going to sleep.

Most of the foods consumed on the Zone program include lean cuts of meat, like chicken or fish and other sources of protein, plenty of vegetables and fruits, and a small amount of carbohydrates. Potatoes, rice, cereals, breads, and sugar are the kinds of carbohydrate rich foods that dieters should avoid eating, but can eat once in awhile. Dieters must also stop eating processed foods and food with a high sodium content.

Exercise is another important part of the Zone diet. The program recommends moderate intensity physical activity for thirty minutes every day, six days per week. Exercise is supposed to raise the effectiveness of the Zone diet program. Other enhancements to the diet include taking vitamins and nutritional supplements.

The Zone program works effectively for many people trying to lose weight, but it requires a big commitment. The reason why this program and most other diet programs do not work is because many dieters quit before they are able to see results. Many people struggle to stick with any type of diet because of food cravings, out-of-control appetites or eating habits, or a lack the motivation to lose weight. Hypnotherapy is the solution for solving these problems and providing the motivation to stay committed to a diet such as the Zone diet plan.

Hypnosis is commonly used along with dieting because it does many things to increase the effectiveness and success rate of weight loss plans. One thing that hypnosis programs do is help promote positive thinking, especially to counter negative thoughts. Hypnosis is a powerful relaxation tool as well, helping us cope with our stressful emotions and relieve tension. As a relaxation tool, it eases the mind, helps you come up with strategies to manage stress, and boosts your self-confidence to motivate you to shed weight.

Weight loss hypnosis can also be used to directly treat the mental obstacles that keep people from losing weight. Take for instance those who cannot curb their cravings and appetite because they have a problem with "emotional eating." People who experience emotional eating compulsively eat food in response to their feelings, such as when they are feeling sad or depressed. Hypnosis can be used to break the bonds in our unconscious minds between eating and our feelings. This way, people do not have to struggle with overeating and are able to stay committed to complex diets such as the Zone diet.

Motivational weight loss CDs have become an extremely popular and effective weight loss aid to use with diet programs because motivation is the key to success for most dieters. A good hypnosis CD program works by tapping into the power of the unconscious mind to naturally focus our thoughts on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These programs help dieters remember their reasons for wanting to lose weight and exercise so dieters naturally feel motivated to stay with their weight loss program.

Hypnotherapy is an effective motivational tool that works to help you "stay in the zone," get physically fit, and experience natural appetite suppression without drugs. Through using hypnosis, we can think positively and focus on improving our health.
